Yep, that's correct. I worked there when it was Nankivell and later when Frank Hubler bought the place.

Hemmings Muscle Machines, in the April 2012 issue, reported that a 1969 ZL-1 Camaro sold for $451,000 at Barrett-Jackson. It had been drag raced when new, and had been restored 20 years ago by the Floyd Garrett Museum. But this is the interesting part....."it was re-bodied with another Camaro shell, the soft parts of the interior were replaced with a standard Camaro interior from a donor car and the engine , apparently a casualty of racing was replaced with a correct, though non-numbers-matching replacement ZL-1 engine."
So what part of this car was actually an original ZL-1? ![]()

Probably just the title, VIN plate and the portion of the firewall with the VIN numbers. Wouldn't be the first time.
