Lex has worked things out with Dave Ley and his group and all SS and Stk racers are invited to a four race series at the Grove for 2012. The series is 4 races in two weekends. May 19- 20 and August 11 – 12. We’ll go to work on a points fund for the deal, hopefully we can raised at least $3,000.

We will use the same points structure we utilize for the Money ET cars.

$1000 win

$400 runner up

$200 semis

$100 ¼ finals



Car and Driver entry $75.00 per day, weekend $140.00

Crew $15.00 per day

Kids under 12 Free



Driver cost to enter the points system: $25.00

Marty is there a dead line to sign up for the points for this race series , or just show up at tech in the morning with cash ? Do you know what time will the gate close for parking on friday night for both events . Ken

You need to sign up for the points system before you race that day. I know that's how Maple Grove works their weekly points program for the Money Trail.
As far as the gates on Friday, I will talk to Lex and let you know.

I think these races are a great idea. It gives all of us a alternate venu, & I want to thank Dave, Brian, & all the track opperators for keeping stk. & ss racing viable, & affordable. If i can make one, or all of the races, I will be there!!! Thanks, Glen

Since the date is getting near, when can we get in the pits, and can we claim our pit spot for the points race and just leave our rigs there? I know the black top is reserved for the fast cars, so we obviously wouldn't be looking for those spots!

Not sure what Lex, Marty and Dave might have worked out for you guys as far as parking goes but, I know with the S/G & S/C Groups Lex usually lets us in Friday Night (Weather Permitting). As far as the leaving the trailers for the Divisional I know it usually depends on if they have to mow the grass in between the week. I know 3 years ago all the Super Gas guys were able to leave their trailers down on the paved spots down by the oak tree. It was great for the guys who had a long tow (I know you and Byron are coming from Pittsburgh area) and really saved on gas and towing. Not sure how many Alky Cars are pre-entered but, since it's Maple Grove I'd be thinking 35-40 cars.
