I want to voice my support too.

ADRL only needs 8 to 16 cars to make a show. All of their categories are 16-car qualified fields, except Pro Mod, which has 8. When a field is this small, it can become prestigious just to qualify.

Their business model doesn't rely on selling entry fees to 80-100 racers in each category, instead they sell several thousand tickets every weekend, at $30 for a 2-day pass.

Their payouts are lower compared to NHRA. For example, their version of Pro Stock pays $7,000 to the winner, with a total payout of $26,000. NHRA pays $20,000 to the winner, and a total payout of $105,000.

And yet, they get full fields, and some quality cars. So the main issue will not be how many racers turn out, but how the fans respond. I'm betting they'll turn out for it. And if they do, NHRA might follow with something similar, as they did with several classes that originated in the IHRA. How that benefits the traditional Stock Eliminator remains to be seen, but it really can't do it any harm.

Got this from their website:

Fees:

Car and Driver Entry Fee (includes Tech Card, Competitor Parking Pass and Driver Restricted-Area Armband): $250
I'm pretty sure Tony was referring to the spectator admission...$15/day.

$15/day admission is definitely a good price for spectators!
