Well, since this thread is about CJ engines, I do have a question
do the 428, 352, and 281 engines that are being run in stock use a conventional style intake manifold with a throttle body on top like the Drag Paks use ?

The 352 and 428 use an intake and throttle body similar to the Drag Pak. The 281 uses the standard type fuel injection system. regards, Roland |

The352 and 428 engines are old windsor SBF based pushrod motors which do use a conventional intake with a four barrel throttle body. The 281 is a mod-motor, overhead cam engine, but I think it uses the OEM style intake (composite/plastic?) with a newer style single hole TB.

The 281 uses a dual bore throttle body. The part number is M-9926-3V and each bore is 62 mm and it is also available with mechinical linkage. Part number M-9926-3VM. regards, Roland |
