Thanks to Chris Holbrook for an awesome motor.
I built my car from a brand new 2010 5spd. V6 "donor" car. It went directly to the shop from the dealership and took me about 11 months working full time and spending 2-3 days per week on the car to complete it. On the scales at Infinion I was 3225. 3120 is E/SA. If all the timing was in and I let it leave the starting line when we had 700' of air, it would go 10.0's Last edited by Comp 798; 08-01-2011 at 07:46 AM. Reason: grammar |

Mustang was low qualifier and out 2nd round of eliminations on a break-out. Not that hard to break a guy out and get rid of him when he's sandbagging that much, is it? |

Maybe not, but what happens if Mark Lelchook (or any other E/SA for that matter...) draws the Mustang heads-up? Mark's car is really fast for E/SA, but it's going to look foolish when he's 3/4 of a second behind. Just because it didn't happen doesn't mean there's no reason to complain.

Here's one example of a guy losing out on a chance to win a national event because he had to race a new car heads up in the 4th round.
http://dragracecentral.com/DRCStory....r2010#indextop Dave Ficacci has one of the fastest A/SA cars around and got outrun by over 2 tenths, and Duell was even off the gas early. He never even had a chance. Just curious, what class do you race? Do you have the possibility of racing one heads up?

I'm pretty sure just about everyone from A through J Stock has the possibility of running one of the new cars heads up. Jim

Everyone is blaming the Factory, But and a big but is that it is totally the fault of NHRA for not adjusting these ratings they need to fix this ratings. NHRA did not have to approve the screwy ratings. Lean on NHRA to fix it. They NHRA are like the odors in DC
QUOTE=A56;272139]Im not impressed with the times one bit on the 352" mustang at all, nor any of the new cars for that matter. The combo is as bogus as can be, a true slap in the face by NHRA and Ford to us Stock Eliminator Racers, just as all the new Ford and Mopar combinations have been. I have no problem with the new cars being introduced into Stock Eliminator, I would welcome them with open arms, But NHRA , Ford, Mopar, please just simple do the basic math and put a correct horsepower factor on them to begin with. It amazes me that our old cars were built with 40 year old technology, by the same manufacturers, and they are rated basicly the same as the new cars. If this all is true and correct Ford, Mopar, Chevrolet, and us as Men, in due time should be walking on our feet and hands like Cavemen. I have zero respect for any man that kicks people while there on the floor, that hits there children, that feels there a better person than another, or that cant simply put the correct factor on a modern competition engine.
