terry1 73 thru 81 350 first hit 283hp was 7/10/07 camaro and corvette, second hit 287hp camaro only 1/1/09, They didn`t give the second hit to the corvette`s, still 283hp, but gave hp to 78 & 79 malibu wagon 287hp both times. Tom

Thanks Tom.I also noticed that, in the 2nd rating period of 2008, the (350CID)279-283 HP combo(Vette) was hit with the 287HP increase;then, on the same line, they include/encompass all years from 1973 to 1981(were talking automatics).
This tells me that THEY condsider this combo to be the same family of engine.
So if the 287HP bump went accross the board(obviously there was not a car in every year
between '73 and '81 going under the same amount at the same time)then I wonder why the reduction of 5 HP on the '75 & '77 stick combos was not extended to/from '73 to '81.
This was basically my request to NHRA,my particular request was a 1978 combo.
As noticed in the recent HP changes I was denied.
Not much else a fellow can do,I believe, to make it any more obvious .
