It took us about 5.5 hours to to make the trip from our place. The wind was pretty stiff from the SSW all the way down, with rain off and on the whole way. My dually got 6.5 MPG but that will improve when I get a cap and wing on it,and it gets fully broken in.
We are pitted next to Rock and Jenny Running on the west side next to the fence and the ground is squishy. There was a L/SA Mutang in tech that I did not recoginize. I wonder how long it will take before these cars are moved up 4 or 5 classes. ![]() There was a fair amount of cars waiting to make a pass in T & T when we left at 6:30. They must have had some pity on the people that paid for the session and decided to extend it. More tomorrow. More tomorrow.

Mike,
Don't want to burst your bubble but that mileage won't improve much better than 7.5 - 8. None of my gas trucks did even with the extras you are looking to add. Quote:

should be interesting in the morning as they tried their hardest to get the track hooking right, but I'm seeing "Groundhog Day" again, if you remember my post about cold weather vs the traction compound being used lately at events.
More news in the am, plus I'll let you know what ralph is wearing to the wedding at 4am, hope he shaves his legs if he wears that purple dress. |

Joe, are they trying VP Trackbite? I know a track that did for a whole. Cars that need wheel speed ( stick cars) seem to like it OK, stuff like ours did not. Might be a long summer if it is.

top of the morning as its a cold one here this morning, SS/T then Stock, SG & SS is the first 4 classes up, also seen they are going to make the first 3 pairs in eliminations that last 3 qualifiers and their dancing partners be first out in SS & Stock, maybe start to stop the darn lallygagging that always goes on.
Pits are filling up fast with a lot of rigs coming in this morning. Hope to update later on. |

Suspect reports from Piedmont and West Palm Beach to be more seasonable LOL. Busy weekend at the track(s) and on this board and DRC.

I'm not there. Jody is there though. First time he's been there since 2007. Last time I was there was in 2007 also and that was the first time since 1999. I went in 2007 because Jody had purchased his first Freightliner. Usually I would tow with mom from Vegas to Boise with mom driving Jody's dually. We'd get Jody's rig in line and she would stay in my trailer over night, then I would go home the next morning. I kind of needed the divisional that year and I didn't want mom trying to drive the freightliner home so I decided to stay and race. On the way to Boise a tensioner pulley on Jody's rig went out causing the belt to break. I went to a truck repair shop in Wells, NV and they ordered the part. When the part got there the next day it was the wrong one, so we had to wait another day for it. We got to Boise on Thursday and had to park in the lower level in the back. The back row was totally open, but they just had to squeeze us in between other rigs because they were "saving those spots for long motorhomes should they happen to come." It wasn't that bad, but I wasn't too happy about it. And of course, nobody parked in that row all weekend. I don't think I will ever go back to Boise again. The size of the rigs has out grown the facility. On the upper level they park the rigs about five feet apart and make you pit out the back. Looks like a can of sardines. ![]() -Toby Last edited by Toby Lang; 04-29-2011 at 03:18 PM. |
