The Challenger was in AA/FIA. When Mike Baker added the new AA/FIA and BB/FIA classes (and the three new classes in Super Stock), I didn't notice that the new class designators are six characters long (count 'em, 6).
Five has been sufficient for Stock, Super Stock and Class Eliminator for as long as I can remember, so current report formats only allocate five characters for the class designator. That causes the sixth character to be lopped off, turning AA/FIA into AA/FI. Since the report formats are already pretty busy, linewidth is limited, and there are so many different formats that include the class designator, the five new six-character designators will appear in future reports without the "slash" (AAFIA, for example). Sorry for the confusion. I had the class correctly entered in our reporting database and it displayed correctly on my computer screen. I just did not spot the missing "A" when I sent the reports. - Larry |

I didn't think the V10 had a stick but with Kevin at the wheel I wasn't sure. Again, thanks for the great coverage. Next best thing to being there.
