RIP John - John and I had some really good times together. We had some great laughs and some great wins.
I would drive to his house, pick up his truck, trailer, and race car. He was unable to attend many of the races back then, since his daughter was very young, but he was there for our best win ever - Super Stock Allstar, and Event win in 1993 - with an open trailer parked in a foot of mud. He did not even go to the starting line (said he was too nervous), - except for the final... I would drive back each round, slide to a stop in the mud, he would run over with the cardboard for me to step out of the car, and not in the mud, and then ask me if I won.. it was hilarious. Rest in peace my friend, you will be missed. Thanks for everything! Sal

Sorry to hear about John.....I spoke with him a few times and know he was very popular with many racers from up in his area.....
I liked him and hardly knew him...RIP John...My condolences to his friends and family.....
