Tony-----That's funny as hell. Your brother could have raced Danny's Simca.

1949 Ford flathead, amazingly it could hold it's own with the new Mustangs with 6's. When I started college I got a new 67 SS396/325 Chevelle. Nice car then followed by Dart 340 Swinger and then a 68 Charger...that's it for the sixties! Nice thread!

First car was a '63 VW. Sold it after three months and bought and built a '31 Model A Ford with a 331 Desoto HEMI. Drove that all through High School. I then ordered my '71 Dodge Demon 340. Still own that car. Ran it in AHRA Stock Option and eventually NHRA Stock and Super Stock. I still have the Demon and it has 15,003 miles on the odometer. Jim

In 1965 I bought a 63 Plymouth Belvedere 2ht and replaced the 318 with a 62 300H 413 380hp. Never replaced the 2.76 gear and it was awsome from 30 to 70mph.Cruise the streets at 30mph looking for a race...I'll never forget the 2x4 sound echo off the buildings on Lake st!

My daily driver in 1966 was a real nice '58 Pontiac Chieftain. Was re-painted by a local shop known for doing nice work. White with blue coves and roof. I raced it a few times and started hopping it up and ran in the 14's a few times. Won G/SA class and ran Jr Stock once or twice....
