and if you call the 800 # they will tell you that nobody from the track has called them yet to turn on the webcast. wouldn't you think that if they know it's supposed to be on at 8am that they would just turn it on without being told to?

I just called the track... they say this is the first they heard it wasn't working... are contacting NHRA and the guy said he would personally track down the guy to fix it.... we'll see... sure hope they get it running before super stock!

Maybe Dr Tom will get it fixed for us as according to the article in the Dragster he lives and breathes NHRA racing.

I finally got connected but it says that broadcast starts at noon. Maybe someone can call to inquire.

as of 9:15 EST it says there are 2 hours 45 minutes "Live Broadcast Countdown"

This reminds me of a two man play called "Greater Tuna". The opening scene on stage is nothing but the morning DJ of this little West Texas town as he speaks into the microphone and gives the local news and farm futures. He rambles on for about ten minutes and you hear a phone ring in the back ground. He answers "Hello (pause) what do you mean you can't hear me? Oh heck". He walks over to the main power switch (CLICK) and he starts his morning log on call sign again and repeats the morning new as if nothing ever happened. Anyone that even grew up in a small rural town would enjoy the "TUNA" plays. Somehow NHRA reminds me of this in this situation.
