its bad, i never seen so many 1000 ft and over weight runs in my life, but its all in how bad do you want to be #1, i think what $100 to be #1 if your lucky and might cost you a couple thousand in long run, not a good trade off.
I look at it this way, they (NHRA) made the rules for this deal and the players are just playing the deal. Talking to Bobby Dennis tonight he had no idea he would go the 1 under, his deal figured a -95 run. "It is what it is" |

That is going to be interesting.. I'm glad you will be there to give an unbiased view. If the finances were better. I'd take a trip to spectate, But we would have to pass Biloxi. And my wife would insist on stopping there.

I know it'd still give people some leeway within their class, but didn't they institute the "maximum weight" this year? (ie., if you weigh more than the next lower class, you have to run that class)

weight more than the next class down once, barn visit. If they try to drag the brakes at 1000',barn visit. Not easy to catch, but doable. Not showing the qualifying sheet till after the last qualifyer is good too. Nomex underwear will be worn on return to site.

This would help also but its all become a joke. Maybe NHRA should start running stock and S/S like comp with a CIC except use 5 tenths as the "Hammer Point" for the HP hit instead of an index change.
