I went 12.28 @ 114.4 on the OEM tires @ Cecil County in December. The only modification to the car was a computer tune. The DA was -800ish and the car was full weight, jack and spare included. |

Glad to see you on this board. I have been watching your progress on your 2011 GT over at Modular Fords. I would predict NHRA will adjust the shipping weight to 3350 for the automatic (or thereabouts ) in the 2011 guide when it comes out. It will be fun to see the 2011 and 2012 Coyote Mustang GTs in Stock Eliminator. ![]()

If it is classified in E/S-E/SA or F/S-F/SA , I think you could drive to the track, put on some DR's open the headers and be able to run the index with a tune and simple bolt-ons. Granted not be very competitive. Just like the old old days. It sure would be fun tho

I'm confused with the "if it gets classified as an...". Aren't the weight specs already out? The horsepower is 412. The weight is 3680-something or other which makes it a B car.
Am I missing something or are we playing the.......What number is Ford going to make up this time game?

That 315 hp engine listed in the 2010 classification guide is the 3 valve "Hot Rod" crate engine. It is allowed only in the Cobra Jets. It has CNC 3 valve heads, special cams, big throttle body, etc. It is not the factory production line 2010 Mustang 3 valve engine.
