The avi video file does not contain the virus. The virus is in one of the popups that comes up when you are trying to download the video file.

Here is what my virus detection software found:

An intrusion attempt by 66.150.14.87 was blocked....HTTP Adware Installer File Download,"66.150.14.87, 80",
origin-ics.clickpotato.tv/IC/GPLCPLite40/14142/1/f01a706d-ee3c-4312-ae26-1ce2e46293fb/XvidSetup.exe

I was able to block it and still download the avi file. Great video. Thanks Toby.

I haven't had any problem either.
I DO use Mozilla Firefox browser, and Stop Sign A/V. They told me to use Mozilla because not as many people are on it. The bad guys concentrate on IE because of the volume.

I've used K-Lite for codecs before. No problems there either.

I just did a full scan, and no hint of spyware infection.

Toby, thanks for all you do, buddy.

I don't use a virus program. All I use is the stock windows XP firewall and the noscript add-on for Firefox and I rarely get a virus. I also reinstall XP every six months or so because it gets bogged down by all the stuff that gets installed and uninstalled. I also run Registry Mechanic once in a while.

The virus comes from the hosting site or the codec.
It does not come from Toby or his video.

Solution: Use the download link and watch the video in DivX. Do not stream it.

The reason I used Mediafire is because there is no waiting between downloads and you can download as many files at a time as you want. Other free file hosts make you enter a captcha code and you can only download one file per 30 minutes or whatever. They do that so they can get you to sign up for the paid version. I think Mediafire would be OK if you use Firefox with noscript.

Oh, well. I guess I'll just stick to text.

Well Toby, I have downloaded every video you have posted. There is no virus, no warning of a virus. I have the Nortorn 360 anti virus program with windows Vista and usually between the two of them there is always warnings if any download is questionable.

Keep the video camera rolling. Love to see all the racers and the cars run, especially since I am at home looking at 3 feet of snow on the deck and it is -29 degrees here. Brrrr

I got it too. It started sending people in my email lists a link to a Canadian Pharmacy. One of my dumb *** friends even ordered stuff. He thought if I sent it to him, then it must be safe. I will be running Malwarebytes today. Not blaming Toby though, this stuff just happens.
