I agree BK. That was my point of "either way I'll be traveling decent distance". It's cool, I drove 590 to Earlville last year (not a good decision) and been to MIR few times running IHRA events. Where I live, it's a ride to many tracks. Just the way it is. I'm okay driving with the chance for very good payout.

Rock and Iceman I like your thinking about Ohio but Indy would be a great choice. And maybe Lucas oil would sponser or help out in some way.

Eric, I will attending the IHRA Pittsburgh Divisionals but they are not running Stk, SS, HR, SR, QR, TS, TD at the Pittsburgh National. Only Bracket, Jr.s , and Nitro Show. So looks like just the Divisional weekend for me.

It's cool. Hell, I think they should have 2 races this year, one in each location or region.
Everyone screams about payouts and contingency issues or reduction. This is a way to provide another avenue/option. So, I'm all for trying to establish one or two "high dollar" .90 races. Most guys that run the .90 classes don't run many bracket races. (Specially in 10.90 and 9.90 classes. The 8.90 is probably a different ratio due to the "dragster" effect), and I think these "high dollar" type events can be successful with strategic sheduling, awareness of region, and payout structure. I like running the sanction .90 events (NHRA and IHRA) but I think it would be awesome to have a couple high payout events a year to attend. I'm planning on attending the IHRA "Sportsman National events" this season mainly because the $5,000 to win payout with contingency. Otherwise I wouldn't normally go to MIR (no points at Nitro Jam events) or Virg (unless I was qualified for TOC as last year). I say "Lets Race" ![]() ![]()
