17. I didn't read the full discription on the 348. Just seen the valve cover and punched in 409.... Doh! The older Corvette 327 got me. Sad, but true.

18 -- and I should know better after reading where everyone else got it wrong - damn avanti got me too -- if we had to be tested and all the engines were black it would be harder .
For a moment it felt like 1970 and I was doing tech at Mountain View Speedway again - thanks Tommy ...................

engine has it's subtle means of identification.IE:the 348 with trips opposed to the 409 with dual quads.
