Default Re: who's car is this?

I am no AMC expert, but I believe the 69 SC/Rambler that were equipped with that scoop were functional, using a vacuum operated flapper door similar to the 1969 Torino/Cyclone and 69/70 Cougars. Is that correct? Also, I believe that the 390 SC/Ramblers were also all 4 speeds, is that also correct? Since this Rambler American 2 door sedan is shown at a NHRA santioned track, in M/SA, how is he allowed to run that scoop, functional or not? Wouldn`t that be like a 68-69 Barracuda with a 340, 383, or 440 Stocker using a SS/AH Hemi hood scoop? Or a cowl induction hood on a 67-68 Z/28, or Boss 429 scoop on a 428 CJ Mustang? Just curious.
