amen to that ! Cant wait to see what NHRA has planed for you new underrated car owners. Some stuff coming for the older combos to. Some good...some not so good so I hear. 2011 after Pomona will be different for sure.

Why do you an x-tech man argue with people who bought these cars (CJ/Dragpak)? The people that own these cars didn't set the HP ratings. Should the people that own these cars tell NHRA..instead of using your HP rating, I'm going to set my own HP rating at 450 or whatever???

Because of some their attitud's of being better than most and everyone knows its a "Screw" job by the factories and NHRA to all of the hard working stock and S/S racers who tested, spent $$$ and have beat their combos to death over several years just to have these bogus HP combos show up and obsolete the older muscle car combos just because of a fat check book and connections to obtain them. Is that plain enough for you !

You guys may as well run it all the way to the finish line this time when it only will cost you 3.25% in horsepower. Word is that next year it will cost you A LOT MORE percentage everytime you do it and you won't even have to go as fast to get hit. Everyone should be looking forward to next year, I know I am.

Hey Chad, not that Sean needs any help fighting with you, but has the Cours ever have any race car that wasnt fast?? If it is a soft combo or not, that family has always had their cars at the top of the pack. # 4 qualifyer in Super Stock.

6396 GT/BA Sean Cour, Brush Prairie WA, '09 Cobalt 9.265 10.25 -0.985
Is this a soft combination too??

Not that its any of you business Sean, but I'm going to test the I/SA 92 camaro we just got. Would have gone last night but I worked too late. As for going fast, I'd say building a low 8 second Outlaw Drag Radial that I know a little about that

Tech man, you are a good guy, but you are way off base on this deal. I'm the same guy who slept in the back of pickup trucks in the 50's to race and the same guy who has run enough combos over the years to know the difference. I'm the same guy who couldn't run with the 428's and 396's with my 6 pak, (ran 1 under, but they ran 1.3 under) because the rules were in their favor. I changed sides. We don't need all that tripe you are throwing out there. As far as the new program proposed by NHRA would be offensive to more old cars than new, by about 6 to 1. Facts from figures which were provided to me. That would go over real well with the children. Sorta like hunting Elk with a blunderbuss @ 200 yards. Any I was only looking for results from Stock @ Pomona and I wound up here.

Whether the CJ’s and DP’s are soft or not (and I will throw my combo into that comment also for you whiners) it’s a shame that a PERFORMANCE BASED class could be destroyed by a bunch of whining crybabies who figure the way to move up the qualifying sheet is to complain about the guys at the top rather than working on their stuff or picking a better combo.
Flame away….. Seems to be the only thing some of you are really capable of. Maybe try spending some time on a dyno instead of a keyboard you may be surprised with the results.
