"Field day"...good one...

I really don't think it will be that bad. Sure, it might be a little sloppy in your immediate pit spot, but after literally DECADES of burying rigs in "the field", I'm confident that they've at least put down some stone to form roadways so one can get to their trailer without getting stuck. You would have to be a complete idiot to leave a disaster situation in the same condition AGAIN, right?

Maybe Ken can grab some pics for us so we can all "go with confidence"...

I do know since the divisional that the area by the teardown barn and the hill has been paved. They used the leftover millings from the track work and paved that area, so thats one less area to get stuck in. As far as anything else I'm not sure.

Okay everyone, I just got back from the pits. The pits look pretty good, but there are some spots that still have standing water. The high ground near the barn is solid. The filed were most of the s/ss park is a 50/50 mix. Some good spots some not, but it is draining well. There are some nice spots behind were comp will park along the fence.

The newly paved area near the barn is for alcohol. I talked to Redman for bit, he was just giving me the heads on were they are parking all the classes.

The pictures show the parking area to be okay, but like I said there are some soft spots, they could turn into mud if rigs are parked there. Right now I think they would be able to park 150 rigs in the good spots if they chose to.

Its still cloudy but the sun is trying to come out. Its cold and a little breezy, temp is about 55, but at least its not raining.

Not many more rigs came in, still about 130 in the field.
