The weirdest thing was not seeing the wheelstands that everyone does today.

What a difference traction compound, tire and converter technology has done to the sport.. Take the same car with today's technology and it would make a huge difference I bet..

When I watch old video of the stockers and supers you always see a bit of smoke off the tires leaving the line.. not a lot of grip
