With all that's been going on lately with the introduction of the new cars into stock and super stock, I have to ask whose interest does our sanctioning body represent? It seems to me like they operate as a for profit business to try and make as much money as possible without regard for members who have supported them for 20 or 30 years. How do you all feel about this? What do you think about having the four board members decide the future of NHRA without any input or accountability to anyone? Where do you all think the money goes that they make? These questions and a lot more need to be answered.

Greg, the only way to correct all the ills is for EVERY sportsman racer to boycott and not attend any races till they change course. We all know that wont happen. They will continue to do what they do best.Continue on like always and throw us a bone now and then to put down the firestorm without regard to the flames rising again in the future over future issues.

They only represent "their own interests" They are a BUSINESS. They push the rules and variations as far as needed to keep people "hooked" and needing a place to see friends, hear the motors and smell the C-12. If all the friends met for picnics every 4 weeks in the summer it would threaten the existance of NHRA.

The only thing NHRA stood for was selling out to HD Partners and cashing in big time. Since that fell through, I don't think they care about much of anything other than keeping the association afloat so they still get a salary.

let the Flaming begin > I don't agree with most about NHRA not paying attention to the sportsman , right now I suspect NHRA is trying just to stay alive and every time I have talked to them they are always concerned about every class. heck the one element we don't know is NHRA making any Money in this economy? and we don't know about the rest of the story,so how can anyone make a true assumption about how NHRA is doing??

Looking at a tax return for any one to three year period can be extremely misleading.
For example, there are a ton of corporations that will show a profit this year, whether they actually made one or not, and have already decided to show a loss for 2011 in order to avoid the anticipated sunset of the "Bush tax cuts for the rich". They'll move profits and losses on paper, legally, to show whatever they need to show. Further, the corporation "NHRA" may show a net loss, while every board member and silent shareholder takes home a nice hefty salary paycheck and bonuses.
