It is my understanding that the Snowballs moved to the Akron area from southern Ohio where they still own land known as Snowball Hill. Chris' great grandfather Snowball lived in Barberton and raised beautiful dogs (coon hounds as I recall although that may be wrong..) and was a plumber and started the Akron local plumbers union. Chris' grandfather lived in Norton (next town over from Barberton) was also a plumber and active in the Akron plumbers union.
I don't know how common or uncommon the Snowball name is, but it sure seems like you could.... be related. I will ask Chris' mom Linda Snowball about more background. David |
