Exclamation Re: Seattle - First Round of Pro Stock...

There is a small town local racing radio show. They talk about NASCAR mainly, but even those guys made a comment about how greedy NHRA was in cutting out the 1320 foot track prep for the Prostock cars.

It is really time to fire anyone above Division level at Glendora and start over. New blood with a love for Drag racing and a basic I.Q. test to get a job.

These guys in Glendora forgot they are an association!

Jim you are right on the money. Close the offices in California and sell the property. Move everything to Indy, build a new building on the property at raceway park. Give the div. offices more responsibility and dramatically downsize the central office. Pay the president around 250k and make the board consists of racers both pro and sportsman, track operators and industry folks. Make the organization accountable to it's members. The present management and board is interested in one thing and one thing only, money. And I don't mean money to make the organization better I mean money for themselves.

That's right on the money, Jim...but there's a problem: The clowns on the board are the only ones that can fire themselves!!

Their departure could be hastened by a lack of support from the racing community. The Pro Stock guys and many Sportsman racers are pissed off at them already. If they get the
rest of the Pros mad enough something might shake them out of their tree.
It might mean the end of NHRA as we know it.But the tracks will still be there and if
someone committed to running it like a racing organization, not Barnum and Bailey's Circus, there could be a new start to drag racing.Fantasy, but you never know
Who woulda thought Communism would collapse in Russia,or the USA hockey team would whip the big,bad Russians, twice.
