a swing arm variation of the four link for door cars

How would to be to "X" the lower four link bars, thus making them like the swing arm rails? Anyone tested doing so?

Ricky Adkins 57 chevy top sportsman car is a swing-arm and mono-shock. He did this himself. Goes fast and wins races all the time.
