Default Re: moving cam ?

If your on -1 move to +1 will be 2degrees adv. What I always do is mark cam spider w/ sharpie as example say 106 is straight up for your cam I would mark it -1=106 so you always have your baseline to go back to.

say intake CL calls for 106 and to degree to 106 spider shows -1 then you move to +1 you'll be @104

I have found that the marks don't always tell the truth. The only way to know for sure is to change it when you assemble and measure it at several different spots. Although I have moved mine around quite a bit it doesn't seem to make too much difference on the time ticket. But this was all done on a Super Stock 454 that makes quite a bit of torque so it may change your combo more.
I have found that only one place make the best power when we dyno and it seems to run the best there on the track too. Only talking .03 or so difference either way.

On your earlier post the merge collector does change the jetting some. A lot of it has to do with how small the neck down is and how long overall collector is. We have seen the smaller the neck down size the narrower and higher the power band. Hope this will help!
