Alex, that's not what I was told, but hey it does not matter, It should be a nice combo.

Dale, I think you have been out of racing to long. It does not matter if the engine is available for the public roads. Ford is building them just like the 2008 CJ's. They have been approved, so whatever our opinions are, its not relevant. For better or for worse, stock is changing.

as far as a windsor motor in the new mustangs for stock, if anybody thinks its wrong since ford has not offered a windsor in a mustang since 95, then why is the new drag pac challenger being offered to racers with a 360? if i'm not mistaken dodge has not had a challenger for sale with a la motor since the nixon era. if nhra says we can run that combo, i say let them run. i never heard anybody complaining about them opening up the ss/gt classes to all legal bodies and motors. please correct me if i'm wrong, i have been known to be wrong a time or two. i remember not that long ago when almost everybody was whining about f.i. cars in with carb. cars. now all cars are back to original classes and everybody is playing nice. and how about the ls camaro and t/a cars that were not classified correctly, now thats just a thing of the past. i can go on and on and on, but if we just all learn to play nice and fight the real battles ie... payouts, treated as lower class citizens by the ...., etc, etc, etc. hey guys and girls, i'm all for running factory mass produced cars as all of you are, but if we didn't have a small runn of specialty cars ( hemi darts and cudas, t-bolts, copo camaros) then we might not have alot of fast class cars that most of us can only dream of owning. rick.

Yes Ken been out of racing fora while now, but I guess what I wanted to know was will ford build any of this or will it be a MPR or back-yard built? Next question were in stock will they race, how many AAAA'S can NHRA add.

The obvious question now is, Why just not allow all fuel injected crate motors?

You can always put the engine in a 1963-64 Galaxie and run SS/GT or IHRA A/CM (a 6.00 lb class). The big Fords weigh around 4000 pounds.......LOL.
P.S. You have to use the old T-10 Trans when over 4000 lbs class wt. with 14X32 tires.
