I played with these things half my life ago. Some questions come to mind: #1-Two bolt or four bolt mains? #2-Will the main saddles be sized for the original 409 mains, or big block Chevrolet? #3The water pump holes look different. Does it take a different pump? #4-The timing chain cover looks a bit different as well. What about the oil pan as well? #5- When might this thing be out there? #6-Cost? I wish this project the best of success. You should see the stuff Lamar Walden sells!!

It's a Lamar Walden project. The final version will take an aluminum 409 water pump, but a big block Chevy timing cover. I looked at it and read about it a month or so ago. I have not been all that impressed with the stuff from World Products, but this may be different, I doubt Walden will take second class quality. I'm betting it won't be real reasonable in price, either.
