As a "regular" SCEDA bracket racer, I was super excited about the S/SS combo coming to join us for the weekend. We got to see many of our "heroes" and race side by side with the legit cars from SoCal. I am also excited about the possibility of a 6 race series for next year. SCEDA is absolutely our favorite series to race simply because they are well organized, well run events and Brent and Staci Cannon go out of their way to make you aware how much they appreciate your patronage. Good people, good facilities, good weather, good payouts, great competition....what the heck else could you ask for.

One thing on my wish list is that some of you guys take the plunge and double enter those high dollar S/SS cars into the No-E class. You will benefit by the increased seat time and it increases purse opportunities for everybody. Trust me, you're not going to wear out your equipment and you just might go home with 2 paychecks instead of one.

I admire those who go to great lengths to extract the last bit of performance out of your combo. Bracket racers don't necessarily excercise the same diligence finding horsepower, but we work hard to see that equipment is in good shape, reliable, and that our driving skills are perfectly honed to repeat round after round. If I may speak for my peers, we would certainly enjoy looking over in the other lane to see Doug Lambeck, Tony Janes, Greg Luneack, Kyle Rizzoli, or any ot the other big names with which we were so fortunately surrounded this past weekend.

Hats off to SCEDA for bringing this to us and hopefully you guys and gals will come out in force next year to support this series.

Thumbs up Re: Fontana S/SS combo Saturday 10-17-09

I see that the entry fee for each days race was $40.00. How much was the "Additional Assoc. fees" spoken about in the advertisement about the race? Two races in one weekend on a semi-pro level with entry fees like that, just might get this Arizona racer to chime in on the fun as well???

Congrats to Kyle Rizzoli! What a stud when he actually races.
