Well i run a E/SA Fairlane and i would not stand a chance against there combo. I hope NHRA will pay close attention to these posts. The numbers speak for them selves.

I really don't think that NHRA will add any HP to the Combo, they should, but it sure seems strange that the same motors in a Challenger and Cuda are rated at 10 HP more (299). They know the potential that this Combo has, it has taken a situation like this to cement it. And as Mr Buckner has stated, "4 HP won't slow me down any", sounds like he's not afraid of anybody including the HP Factor Committee.

My hat is off to everyone that runs their cars flat out for Class. Thats really what its all about, isn't it?? And there's not a better place to do it than the US Nationals.

RJ the real issue is who's the biggest bs'er you or Ray. In that regard I would have to say it's a dead heat.

The E bodies are rated at more HP because of a run made at Pomona with a motor that couldn't have passed even west coast tech.

I can't even fathom the thought of giving up a class win to save horsepower. Anybody that does this needs to ask themselves, what are they racing for? Personally, I think they need to find a new hobby.

NHRA has a class for the Hemis in SS . Maybe they should give the small block Chrysler guys their own classes in stock so they could just beat up on each other.

The E Body 299 HP was a result of a 1.40 under in Div 1 a few years back.

Hey...thats a great idea only lets not stop there. Go for the whole load and have a class for each and every combo in existence today. A/SB (A stock Buick), A/SCC (A stock chev camaro) and lets not forget the AAAAAAA/SFBM (A/S Ford Blown Mustangs).....LOL. Just kidding. Lets just get rid of the AHFS (it will NEVER work) and drop the indexes say about .5 or so and race like the old days. Put some HP on the cars that deserve it by a 2 or 3 man group ( I would do it for FREE but NHRA would never allow me near it...lol) who have no connection to anyones car or wont play favorites and add or subtract HP when needed (like NOW), run the sticks and autos together heads up and have at it. Its nothing more than a BS high dollar bracket race with some friggin' rules the way it is. Its getting to be almost as bad (no it already is) as the stop and go cars in the 90 classes. No wonder spectators and sponsors are not interested anymore.
