Default Re: Rumors from Sonoma.............

When you pay a premium price for a product, you expect a quality product. NHRA is not giving a quality product for the premium price that you pay to them for dues and entry fees. There wouldn’t be as much turmoil in S/SS if NHRA policed the categories closer then they have. Why is it that a Comp car gets its new index the following Monday morning if someone goes more then .61 under over the weekend? S/SS should be the same. We race NHRA S/SS because we want limitations for each category and rules to be followed that make it a fair play ground. Instead, NHRA turns their back on parts and devices that never came on factory cars and says it’s “OK”. That’s a problem when you pay for the administration of the rules and you don’t receive it from the governing body.
I’m not bashing, I’m just stating the facts. The rumors that you hear are from people who don’t want to do their job that they are getting paid for. If you look at NASCAR, they are getting paid for what they do, administer the rules. They take cars apart just to look at them for no reason, randomly. NHRA should be following NASCAR’s lead and do what they are expected to be doing, administering the rules
