Billy What do you have against Zorkon? Mr. Ortiz it seems that gator boy is talking trash about a 2bbl 283 for U/SA....i TRIED TO INFORM HIM that what is the challenge of running a chevy combination that has been flogged for over 50 years...When I was a boy I drove chevy's too. But now that WE have grown up we feed on the challenges of brand X and Y. I was asked a question today Why would anyone want to drive a U/SA combo. Little do they know you can easily throw down 1/2 a six pack between high gear and the traps...How dumb can they be no A/SA car could do that. Plus we get to look at the ladies in the grandstands longer.Plus we usually have enough money after the races for Macdonlds.Plus no other class represents United States Of America any better......Do not be too concerned about Blingmaster new motor sounds like I could drive to Alaska and get 35 mpg getting there..It did drive into the trailer under it's own power .....Pup may not have his new ride ready he has done 4 motors 3 transmissions
in last week to get ready for lakeland....Never sell Daran short...

Talking Re: Ron Ortiz

while ya'll are playing im gonna be working...
trying the 5:86 at track on friday... might set the record saturday (if maple grove aint too fast) its hard to compete with ET's from mineshaft at bowling green so clayton will probably end up with it again...
sure wish that 273 would migrate outta division one to lets say INDY and see how she runs in REAL air.

anyway if ya wanna have a shootout later (in november i believe they said) let me know !

captain jack

and have fun !

Three more US/A cars showed up at Lakeland to scare Ron, but it didn' bother him. We had a total of four US/Automatics. Just think how many we will have at Orlando in November for our big race. We will keep you posted

Jack.
Hear I take a day off to give somebody else a shot and I hear about ET,s in mine shaft conditions and moving to INDY and real air. Still runs high 13,s in bad air. Anyway congratulations on the record. The shootout sounds good if we could do it at Atco or Maple Grove as I cant travel to far on Social Security

Clayton,

Do not worry about Atco or Maple Grove, plan on heading down south for the winter, all the other Yankees do it all the time. You could form a little group with Dick Moreland, Jack McCarthy, Dave Koopman, and yourself and swing on down here. Kind of like a Seniors Race Tour. We can put you all up at the "home" while you all are down here to save on a little moola too. Don Himes lives down here and we can probably get him to come up to Orlando and serve as a seniors guide or as an exercise instructor. Just trying to help you all get down here for the big U/SA Shootout.

High 13's in bad weather. What will it run in 95 degrees and 95% humidity?

U/SA being old is a matter of time

Orlando is 3 tenths slower then ATCO possibly more with a two barrel. The swamp air will hurt your feelings and have you chasing problems that don't exist. I remember two years ago a fast 2 barrel wagon with a big "R" on the windshield but that was quickly removed after the first pass. Hope Nov. will not be too hot. I plan on having 3 cars ready.
