Thanks Jim for the information. At this point, I don't care where we go. I just want to get out of the house and be with our friends. It has been a rough year for both us and some loud noise might do us some good. We definitely will be going somewhere.
Thanks again. Ruthie B. |

I hear it was Dewey Boggs and Bebout in the final, That's the second runner up finish in the past two weekends for Dewey. Third time's the charm, can't wait to see what Chicago has in store.

I just want to thank everyone that was involved in putting this race on. We did have 38 cars tee it up for the first round of Super Street and the whole event was very successful. For those of you who didn't or couldn't make it, the young man that we had there as our guest of honor (Joey Friend) made the whole day worth it even if we wouldn't have made a penny. To see the look on his face when he got a chance to go down the track in a race car and the support from all of the racers means more than I can put into words. I guess the best thing to do is ask some of the racers that were there and plan on joining us on the 10th of October.
Congrats to Linn Bebout on his win over Dewey Boggs in the final and to John Danhauer reaching the semi's. These guys walked away with a total of $1750.00, so it was a good pay day for them. We had some pretty good players (three ranked Division 3 hitters and a couple of ranked IHRA racers) and I want to thank all of the Super Street Racers for making the trek to Mt. Vernon for this very special day. Been kicking around some new ideas for the October 10th race in hopes that it can be as equally successful, but will post that when we get something cast in stone. I have checked all of the surrounding schedules and it doesn't appear that there are any conflicts other than the national event in Richmond, Viriginia. I want to give special thanks to Mike Fouts and the whole Pacemaker's team for running such a great event and to Jeg Coughlin and the Jeg's team for stepping up and supporting us with matched dollar for dollar. Please log onto www.pacemakersdragway.com to see all of the pictures that have been posted. As soon as I know the final total on what we raised I will post it on here. Thanks again to everyone!! Safe racing!! |
