Randy Warford's Drag Pak Challenger #003 was picked up the end of last month from MPR. I believe the car is being assembled by Mike Roth at MR2 and Charlie Westcott is doing a bit of development on the 6.1 Hemi. I’m not sure when Randy plans to debut the new stocker, soon I would expect.
Irvin Johns Drag Pak Challenger #006 was delivered to AutoCrafters Body & Paint last week to have the cage and underside painted. Q.C. Coatings is powder coating suspension parts and the Dana 60 rear axle is coated and being assembled by the Ring & Pinion Shop. I fully expect Irvin’s car leave MPR and go to Irvin’s shop for final assemble within the next week and a half.
Don Garlit’s #001 was picked up from John Donato after the cage and underside was painted. It is my understanding John Donato will be assisting Don Garlits Florida based crew in the final assemble details on his Drag Pak Challenger.
Mike Wagner’s Challenger is currently on the surface plate and is in the early construction stages for Super Stock. Mike Wagner wants to use a 6.1 Hemi and auto trans and plans to run the new Drag Pak Challenger in SS/DA or SS/EA. More on this project as it’s getting built.
I think the Drag Pak build schedule is slowed a bit with the current state of the industry but I’ve been told the cars will be built and the process is ongoing and only delayed a bit. I have no way of knowing who’s cars will be built next but I’m sure it won’t be long and there will be some word on it.
There’s the best update on the cars at MPR and that’s all the news I can provide for now. If anyone has info on the program maybe they can post it.

I spoke with Dale Aldo at MOPAR on Monday, my car is # 29 and the body has not been built yet. The plant where they are built is shut down at this time. He also assured me this is temporary so Dodge can move some iron. They will be updated every Friday on the start up of the line the following Monday. I will let you know on any updates.

so if Chrysler goes bankrupt, and Mr. Obama decides that the challenger has to go, what happens if they don't build all 50 drag pack cars? Do they become illegal?

FYI, if you ordered a Challenger from a dealer who will no longer be there, I might be able to help. Nothing is for sure now. I have delivered # 6 and #16 is mine, and is at the plant that is closed for now. More as it unfolds. The list of what dealers did not make the first cut is all over the media. I'm going to Houston to relax, race, and have a beverage or 22, not if that order.
