If it is...STOCK just became a big "f...ing" joke with the CJ's and this..with this in mind GM could get away with anything should they decide to do something to put the nail in the coffin! With current classes you need ratings 390-430 hp to get in the classguide for stock..and they will get it after doing whats "needed" with NHRA!

Only ONE throttle body ? Looks like 220 HP should do it.......LOL...Maybe 255 HP with two T-bodies. And blowers on the Fords. What a JOKE stock has become.

Right now I cant see the pictures because Im at work, but what do you guys want, to go back in time??? The Cobra Jet is what it is and so is the Challenger. New technology. This is the same thing they did back in the 60's. History is just repeating itself.

Thumbs up Re: Spy shots - Don Garlits Challenger

I think it is encouraging to see any factory involvement, I hope Chevy does one too. I think that these cars should be introduced as "Factory Stock" and just throw them all together in their own class. Sticks, autos together. They could run them heads up and be showcased for the factory. Then we might actually see what they are capable of instead of 1000 footing them. I think that would still allow the Big Dogs that have them to strut their stuff for the factory, and generate more excitement. Let's face it, no one that gets one of these cars is worrying about where the money is coming from for their next Chow call. I think it would be good for everyone.
My 2 cents.

There isn't a n/a intake manifold in the world that compares to a supercharger so quit your bitchin! This is going to be great for class racing, lets just see how it plays out. Where's GM? Shawn

BUT THEY ARE NOT CARS THE PUBLIC CAN BUY AND TAKE TO THE STREETS!! They are Super Stock Cars..There are both Mustangs and Challengers that you can buy and run on the street...those are Stockers and are what should be raced in Stock! But if the factors were right they would allready be SS cars and we wouldn't have these ramblings......a major "slip up" from NHRA..but probably intentional..If they wanna sell cars on monday..then make and race cars that the public can buy period!
