I applaud this effort and hope like hell that it's successful! The Stock and Super Stock racers have put up with too much abuse for far too long from the "HRA's," and it's time for a change. I firmly believe that.
At this point, I have only one suggestion. I'm not sure you need the "United" in the name of this new organization. "CLASS RACERS' ASSOCIATION" says it all; it's obvious that if you're putting on races as an organzation, you're "united." No need to point it out.... Plus, it was "born" on the Class Racers' Bulletin Board.

Less is more, when it comes to acronyms, and "CRA" is more succinct, and wastes no letters. Besides, it sets it apart from the "NHRA," "IHRA," both of which use 4 letters.

Long live the CRA! I hope it's as successful and long-lived as the NRA and the SAE!

Just my 2-cents.... with apologies to my Mopar buddy, Myron.

Any existing comp class car will be allowed plus we hope to encourage the older full bodied modified type cars (Modified production, etc.) to come back out or be constructed new.

Also make SS & Stock all run no matter how many cars show up and we would run them on a ladder from the start.

Modified !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm in heaven !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
they use to run off of the records. Neat

Gary Hampton...

I like your idea. No need to make it possessive... (racers')

It would still be still "CRA," if that name were chosen.
Maybe they could post a poll on the new name and have several choices.... that'd work!

As you should remember from the CLASS NATIONALS....thats the plan....... all run.....if you pay your money you get to race. Top Stock and Jr. Stock fields included.

OK, since I've not raced in a couple decades. I missed the above event. So, will this be a qualifier event, run on a ladder? Or will we have class runoffs? Then like the national events I remember, usually class winner and maybe top qualifiers, if they lost in class, got into the finals?

The ladder idea will allow everyone a chance at going at least a round or two, even guys like myself that will have fairly new cars. If class runoffs are the plan, hey, bring'em on, I may be fodder but it'll still be a gas, just to be there. I'll use it as a gage to measure where I need to be in the future. Plus, it'll let me get to know my competition, up close and personal.
