Re: Super Stock DQ in Vegas
We've had several "situations" where our fuel didn't check. We run C-12. In each deal, I questioned the validity of the "checking" process. In one incident, 2 cars, same fuel, same jug, one is good, one wasn't. In the one that didn't check, after a confrontation, we took the jug for checking. We were told that the fuel in the jug was OK. We were told to drain the fuel in the car, "flush" the system, then refuel the car with the fuel out of the jug. We proceeded to do nothing. In fact I sat at the trailer and had a "cold one". About an hour later, we took the car back to fuel check, and it passed with flying colors!! On other "failures" I've been given all kinds of scenarios. Fuel is old, fuel left in jugs, fuel left in trailer, fuel left in car, etc,!!!! This year I asked the tech guys to check some fuel that had been IN THE FUEL CELL of one car that hadn't been run for 14 months. It checked good!!! So much for theories!!
