Default Re: The Passing of Vic Santos...AKA "The Professor"

At a Board of Directors meeting for ASRA in the 80's I confided in Vic that I was concerned about the rear suspension configuration for the new car I was building for stock eliminator. 1982 Camaro 305 stick shift. At that time there were only 3 of these cars running in the country and they were all automatics. We were at a restaurant and on a napkin Vic and I scratched out the configuration and Vic spoke of instant centers and many things I was clueless on. With some measurements and more napkins, Vic concluded that I would be ok and that the configuration was not all bad.

It was classic Vic and I will never forget him.

Vic was very sick a few months back and then he got better and rebounded for awhile before his passing. He made it to the track a couple of months ago and I visited with him for a few minutes. It was refreshing to see Vic that day.

My best to his family and all his friends
