I think we all agree that 50 entries for Stock and Super Stock for a race
with the prestige of the Gatornationals is not fair to the Racing Public. With the Baby Gators the week before, make both fields 128 car qualified field. The catch? We will run class and first round at the Baby Gators. If you lose first round, sorry, no racing next week. How many of us would take that chance? A lot. If that's your only way in, you'll take it. There are races all around those races, and getting out the snow is a good pull. If you don't get make it to the big race, your tickets are still good for spectator seats. If you only get 50 more cars in each class, that is $35,000.00 more money that falls to the bottom line, all the expenses have already been paid. Putting additional people in the seats, plus food purchases etc. is all a win. The stands will look fuller on TV. This is the best win/win I can come up with. Got a better one, and there should be lots of ideas out there, post them up. Maybe NHRA will like one of them. Lets try to be part of the solution, not part of the problem. J.R. |
