Never had the need for step down. Fuel pump, water pump, fan, data logger, ignition all are compatible with 16v systems that charge at 19+ volts.
Some have said incandescent bulbs don't like the higher voltage. In my 15 years of racing on 16 volts, I've blown maybe 2 tail light bulbs. |
