Re: AA/SA Mark Madison, Seaside CA, '65 Belvedere 9.516
Our plan was to run A/SA at Indy the whole year. The A Challenge that is put on by Jim Schaechter is an awesome deal and I'm looking forward to taking a shot at it. I agree with Travis, just the chance to compete at Indy is special and a privilege. A automatic is going to be a very tough class this year. A bunch of good cars and drivers. I think it's anybody's race. Plus I want no issues in qualifying for the eliminatior. I'm hoping to find a few rounds in that this year.
As for Mark, Steve and the rest of your crew. I'll be in A. If you want to find me look there. If not good luck in AA. Your car is fast and you guys have done a great job. Don't think a weak challenge on the internet is going to scare me. I'm not going to be intimidated by any of you. We have a good car as well that been refined by Ray, Dave, and Al Carp for years. We think it's worthy of the challenge.
If the weather looks good for the Dutch I'm going to take a shot at your benchmark 9.51 run.
