I'm just trying to get an answer as its a couple hours each way to the nearest track and I don't want to drive all the way there to get told that they won't let me do any runs.
As long as you don't actually run quicker than you are currently legal for, there isn't anything for the track to say.

POSSIBLY they could hassle you for exceeding the 1/8 mile requirements if you run it all out to the 1/8 before lifting.

If they ask in Tech what the car runs, just tell them that you don't know and you are only planning to make some launches and early shutoff runs. You'll be fine.
