Cheap plastic. The pieces are down in there. Be very careful if you dig around in there trying to find any loose parts. The ignition triggering device is attached to the crank/generator rotor connection point. It's plastic with 2 arms that have magnets on them. They swing by a pickup. Just like a crank trigger. They can break very easy and last time I tried to get one they were unavailable. That was last summer. Mice routinely nest in there and that plastic piece gets broken when it hits the nest they make. I've fixed lots of those failures in the past. Use a flashlight and look around for any loose parts still in there.
