Barrett Jackson and brains?
1967 Corvette L88 sold for close to $ 4 Millions dollars. These men who bid on these cars at one time or another must have had brain cells to have accumulated such wealth. I don't care if the car was blessed by the Virgin Mary herself it can't have appreciated so much. Considering that Reggie Jackson(former baseball player) cloned a similar Vette for little under $150k perfect with all the paint flaws that came with these cars. I've owned many Vettes: 56(worst car that I've ever own) 66 (nice but lacking in power) 70 rag top 427 tri power(the engine was replace with a 402 and we kept the tri power, nice car to pick up women with but leaked like a sieve) 76,79,80 (nose heavy, great brakes) all these car were bought at the dealership across my house(always in their used and abuse side) so I got to be the local expert for all my friends and I can tell you that everything about bad quality on these car was present every year. look I bought a Super Bird Petty Blue in a yard sale and sold it one week after finishing putting it back a week after for a profit of $3000, I didn't know the price of these cars were going to reach these crazy level. A friend of my brother bought a 67 Corvette big block when he was release from the Army in 68, he saved every penny from his paper route to his Army pay and after his father sign for it, he drove it for 35 yrs, he stipulated in his will that the first generation couldn't sell it and had to past it on to the second generation. He's still around.lol What do you guys think?
