Default The Brick Joke

There was this world renowned very smart mathematician who wanted to build his own house out of bricks. He wrote down dimensions, distances, heights and angles. He was meticulous in his calculations and had arrived at what he believed to be the exact amount of bricks needed. 376,518 bricks. And so he began construction, one brick at a time, for days leading to months, working until late evenings until it was completed. Finally after almost a year he was done. All the bricks were gone, all 376,518 of them. Though he was proud of himself, he was also tired from all the final days of hard work. Being it was late in the evening he decided to go to sleep and to awake in the morning to view his completed house of 376,518 bricks.

Morning comes and he is overflowing with pride of his calculations. He goes outside and admires the front, the sides and finally the rear of the house. As he backs up for a wider view, he hits something with his heel. Looking down he sees one brick. With agonizing disbelief he picks up the brick and throws it!
