Hey Michael;
The Monte Carlo is a great combination.
Contact Mike Baker at IHRA for class and specs.

If you need any ideas on the build Mike Taylor E/PS record holder and Dennis Roberts H/PS who have similar platforms can short cut your build.
Making sure you get the right parts and less experiment time getting it under the Index.

IMHO send the engine to Jeff Warren.
Pure Stock Legal Cam from Bullet.
TurboAction, ATI, even Dennis Roberts can build a stout tranny.
Need a good 8 inch converter.
Dick Miller Brace which ties the upper and lower suspension. Legally!
GM made an 8.5 inch Carrier Rear.
Would just contact Moser for a bolt in rear.
Going to spend more piece mewling it anyway.

And you do not need a Roll Bar.

Hope this helps.
Send a picture of the car so it can be added to the Pure Stocker Photo Gallery.

Btw..check out looserocker.com
And the big S/SS meet near Columbus.
