Thanks Patric! Glad to finally put a name to the face, all the years I've known you working on Small Paul's S/G Car but, never knew your name. I mean as any promoter will say I do it because I love racing and like putting on stuff like this, I don't do it to compete with NHRA or IHRA because we all know that would be ludicrous. I thought Charlotte was far enough away (600 miles for me) that it would still draw a good car count. I knew I would lose some as the World Championship's started to be decided down the road and I don't blame any of them for going down there. You may only get 1 shot to claim one of them so you have to do it while you can. I'm sure my mentor Mr. Ley and I will have a good talk at Atco next weekend as Dave is always good to put light on a lot of things his protege does and point me in the right direction...lol. Like I said 2014 might be tough to jam in an event with the Autometer Class Nationals taking up a weekend in May and I always make sure things are never on top of any ASRA or ECSSA races (Made that mistake earlier this year).
So the few of us that were at the event or even weren't if their happened to be another event in 2014? What would you like to see? Like to see a different location? Everyone I talked too says they love Numidia just the tow to the track is a pain in the rear and parking can be a pain. Like to see multiple races held on days. Maybe like a T&T on Thursday, warm-up race Friday, maybe 2 big races Sat and a Finale on Sunday. Make it worth the tow. Dates? Always an issue with trying to fit events in between D-1,2,3 Races, National Events, Opens and the Associations. Maybe September was a little too late in the year as a lot of people's stuff might be blown up and for us that were there we sure did see cold weather. This is your turn to say something. I know a lot of you are not bashful about voicing your thoughts so make it clean and let me know! |
