Talking Re: ATI Present Factory Outlaw Showdown

Mr Baker , I paid 100K per year to write the rules the way I thought they were fair and I wont appolgize to you or anyone else for it. I don't belive I know you and I know you did not race top stock when I did .

When Monty Bogan was let go by GM the former sponsor and I hired him and he opened my eyes to what was really going on , the only thing I could do was make everything legal which is what I did and I paid for the right to do that out of my pocket.

When the rules were the same for everyone a lot of people did not want to race anymore and that was there choice do so . It did cost a lot of money to race top stock just like it cost a lot to race pro stock but it was the racers choice.

The first year I sponsored the class Aluise and Mercure won all of the races and Mecure was the World Champion

The last year of Top Stock , Joe Aluise won a race , Paul Mercure won 3 races and I won 4 races . The Championship was decided on the track between myself , Monty Bogan , Joe Aluise jr and Paul Mecure and not who got the most points or most win in the season.

Mecure broke his shifter in the first round of elimination against Bogan and lost . Aluise hurt his motor the night before and had nothing to run against Me , In the second round Bogan's car took all 4 wheels off the ground and twisted the frame and he racked his back , My car blew the tires off but recovered and I rolled across the finish line to take the win . All the guys that raced top stock the finial year had a blast .

I have never seen one negative post by anyone that raced top stock that year only people like your self talking about something you were not a part of and know nothing about.

Lastly , the rules for Factory Outlaw are NHRA rules and they are posted on the site . A racer on this site asked if stick cars could run and I said yes as the promoter . I hope that clears it up for you and Charlie if not give me a call and I will answer any questions you have . Thanks for your interest in the Factory Outlaw Showdown
