SBC manifolds, In & Ex

Doing a local class of Dirt car that has to run a stock (no ram horn) ex manifold and a stock intake w a 2bbl carb.
Since I have "0" experience with these engines and I'm gathering parts I need to know what are the best Ex and what is the best intake. (no marine or vortec) Customer came wagg'in in a 057 non egr intake. Use it???
Yes, I did a search and didn't come up with anything concrete.
