This is an original LT1 (one of 1,741 built), 1972 Corvette (one of 20,496 coupes). The original paint was code 924, Pewter Silver (one of 1372 built), with blue (412) vinyl interior. The original engine and transmission are long gone. The car has been disassembled, the frame has been sand blasted , along with the front A-arms also having been sandblasted and powder coated with Del-Alum bushings installed. The original hood was traded for an L88 hood with the inner tray.
This is a project car where all the tough, dirty work has already been started and is waiting for someone to put it back together either as a street car or possibly a drag car. The body is in excellent condition and does not appear to have ever been hit, but it needs a paint job. The previous owner was going to make this car into an NHRA stocker. There are more parts that go with this car for the advertised price, they include; a new Mosier 12 bolt housing that will need to be cut to length, new ends for the axle tubes, a new 4.88 ring and pinion, new Alf Wiebe rear suspension traction system, the front a-arms have been powder coated and Del-Alum bushings installed (as stated above) with new ball joints and off-set upper bar, mild steel S&W roll cage kit (unassembled), 69 Corvette front end grilles and turn signals, along with the fiberglass fender pieces to change to the fins on the front fenders. There is also some new chrome including; door handles, flag emblems, Corvette script for the rear tail panel, license plate bezel. Asking $7,900.00 If interested, contact; Gary Merrick at 330-219-4738. If you would like pictures, I would be happy to send some. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by Gary Merrick; 07-03-2012 at 07:29 AM. Reason: Adding a picture |
