When the electronic tolling comes on line there will someone on duty to collect from those without EZ Pass. To all those with the larger rigs and multiple axle trailers ,it might be to your advantage to look into EZ Pass as there is a discount for using it and can be a time saver at a crowded toll. Not in Texas. They completed the section of Beltway 8 between Bush International and I-10 on the east side of town and it is a toll-tag-only road. No attendants, no coin hoppers, just cameras and large fees for those who ignore the EZPass-only signs at both ends of that segment. The road segment in question is part of a planned outer beltway and is also toll-tag-only. There are warning signs on I-10 as you leave Houston and I would expect there are also warnings posted as you approach from the Louisiana side.
